Saint Peter & Paul Catholic Church + Hotel Maya | Long Beach Wedding Photographer
For this wedding, I had the pleasure of working on one Cynthia Halverson’s wedding. She needed a second wedding photographer and I was only too happy to help out! I started the day by meeting the bride at her home in Wilmington for a few minutes of getting ready photos. We then made our way over to Saint Peter & Paul Catholic Church (also in Wilmington). It was a amazing church! I really can’t remember seeing a more ornate altar. After the wedding ceremony, we took a short drive over to Long Beach for their reception at Hotel Maya (formerly Coast Long Beach Hotel). After walking out of the hotel to the concrete strand that follows the bay contours, you can see a cool bow-on view of the Queen Mary. Here are just a few quick picks from the wedding.

This is the bride’s great grandmother as she kneeled in prayer at Saint Peter & Paul Catholic Church.

This image was taken from the choir loft of Saint Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Wilmington, California.

The groom seemed to appreciate my somewhat lame jokes.

They didn’t want to kiss, but after a little encouragement …

One of my signature photographs … my interpretation of American Gothic.

The wedding party included the groom’s brother, three of the bride’s sisters, and
the matron of honor. They were a super nice group and really fun to photograph!
